Classes will be limited to 5 students.  All swimmers must be potty-trained.

Class Schedule for 2024:
Session 1 (MW):  June 17-26
Session 2 (TTh):    June 18-27
Session 3 (MW):  July 8-17
Session 4 (TTh):    July 9-18
Session 5 (MW):  July 29-Aug 7
Session 6 (TTh):    July 30-Aug 8

Class times are as follows:
Pre-Beginner:                  10:30-11 am; or 5-5:30pm
Beginner:                          11:15-11:45am; or 5:45-6:15pm
Advanced Beginner:      12-12:30pm; or 6:30-7:00pm
​Swimmer Levels:
  • Pre-Beginner – this class focuses on water exposure and acclimation, encouraging children to enjoy themselves while learning about water safety. The child is not yet able to go underwater voluntarily. Swimmers will practice kicking, moving with their chin in the water, and how to enter and exit the water. To graduate, they can lay flat on their back, blow consistent bubbles on the surface of the water, and comfortably go underwater.
  • Beginner – this class focuses on water acclimation movement.  Swimmers will practice floating on back and front, kicking independently, and self-rescue skills such as treading water and jumping in. To graduate, they can float face down, kick independently for 10-15 yards, and jump into the water and swim to the wall. 
  • ​ Advanced Beginner – this class focuses on water movement and endurance. Swimmers will practice treading water, basic stroke technique, and longer distance swims. Diving will be introduced. To graduate, they can swim independently for 25 yards, tread water for 30 seconds, and control their breath to retrieve diving toys. ​​
​Additional Details
Each session consists of 4 lessons, 30-minute duration.  No more than five children will be enrolled in any class; however, a minimum of three are needed.  When registering, please identify a back-up time in case your first choice is cancelled or needs to be rescheduled. Please arrive early for lessons and be ready to start on time. Parents must stay on site while the lesson runs.
